A Transportable Solar Charger.
The TSC
The TSC is a mobile solar supplied charger to charge multiply units like mobile phones, tablets and laptops on festivals.
Besides from it´s 10 USB outputs it also have a 220V output where you can plug in small electric hardware like a laptop charger and info screens or other low watt consuming hardware.
On the top is mounted a small bird song speaker along with a fan to cool the face on hot summers.
Inside it has inspection light turned on when the door is opened.
The TSC is very useful when we go on festival with a lot of children.
I used 3 solar panels:
-One small solar panel is connected directly to a car plug with two USB.
-Another small solar panel connects through a regulator to a small 12v battery supplying 3 USB.
-A 100 watt solar panel goes through another regulator to a bigger 12v battery supplying both 5 USB plugs and a 220v inverter.
Story behind.
Every year we go with approximate 120 children to a big festival for 3 days.
Almost all the children bring cell phones to the festival.
There is no electricity at the base camps so when the children need to charge there phones they normally have to hand them over to a charging station at the festival and thereby be without them for several hours while they charge.
But not at our camp because we have the TSC.
