A Backgammon gravity dice shaker.
The BG Tower operates as a gravity dice shaker featuring four levels of hexagonally shaped dice twisters.
Once the dices have fallen through and landed on the table, they are collected within a closed zone of the BGT, becoming visible for easy reading and retrieval when the tower is lifted.
Its slim, hexagonal design, measuring only 38mm thick, ensures that the BGT is crafted to seamlessly fit into a Backgammon standard suitcase and uses standard dices up to 16 mm.
Drawing inspiration from traditional dice towers and BG baffle towers, I set out to create a compact dice tower that could adhering to international randomization standards and in the same time fit in to a standard size BG case.
After more than 2 years of development, the BGT is finally here and is now fully integrated into my Backgammon community as if it has always been here.
Extensive testing, involving 1296 dice rolls, revealed an average result of 7.12 between the dices, aligning with International Regulations.
In my close-knit circle of avid board game enthusiasts, there’s a shared passion for intense board play.
However, when we play board games the fervor sometimes leads to overenthusiastic moves – the table shaking, dice flying uncontrollably, and pieces taking an unexpected tumble.
After many cozy evenings where dice found themselves on the floor or even submerged in a cup of beer or beer poured into the dice cup, I pondered if there was a solution solving this bloody chaos.
I solved it with a hexagonal dice tower and developed it further and found it perfect for a Backgammon dice cup.
